Dog Fighting App Surfaces

You've heard of the 'Angry Birds' app for IPods and phones, but have you heard of the new dog fighting app called 'Dog Wars'? 'Dog Wars', better known as 'KG Dogfighting', is an app created by Google that gives its users the opportunity to train their own fighting dogs. There is even a way to buy injections for the dogs to take before the fight. The app's creators say that the money used to buy the app will be donated to animal rights organizations, however that doesn't take away from the fact that is simulates a real dog fight. The game can be seen as a teaching tool that encourages people to get into the sport. Michael Vick spoke out against the app saying, "I think it's important to send the smart message to kids, and not glorify this form of animal cruelty, even in an Android app." In the works right now is a virtual petition that, if enough votes are gathered, can remove the inhumane app and others like it.
